Meet The Organization
Haynes Library President: Michele Johnson.
Haynes Library Board of Trustees:
Dr. Eileen Gray, Lawrence Griffin, Patricia Oakes Leigh-Wood, Brian Hanna, Michelle Symonette, Anthony Pyfrom, Virginia Ballance.
Treasurer: Stuart Cairns.
Secretary: Liz Cairns.
Staff: Rosalind Seyfert is the Haynes Library Librarian and joined the staff in 1994.
Althea Willie is the Children’s Librarian and joined the staff in 2001.
Tyika Moss is the Assistant Librarian and joined the staff in 2006.
What they work hard to do….
The Haynes Library has been a sustaining force in promoting education and providing a centre for the community. Over the past 16 years, annual fundraising and its inherent uncertainty, has provided the majority of financing. As The Haynes Library looks to the future, the creation of an endowment fund will secure both a solid financial base, as well as a more predictable annual income. The Haynes Library will show its gratitude to donors with a plaque at the library listing the names of contributors.
U.S. donations are tax deductable and can be moved through Island Relief.
